Rockford football program unveils their MVP | DRIVE’s

ROCKFORD –Rockford’s Ralph Munger has been coaching high school varsity football for the past 36 years, so he has seen plenty of changes impact the game over the decades.

Munger remembers when they would bring out blocking bags filled with sawdust for practices. Back then, he said he never dreamed that he would see the day when his players would be chasing a mobilized blocking dummy across the gridiron.

   I broke my hand in practice doing a drill against my teammates,” Ruhlig said. “I was injured in practice, and having something like this would have prevented the type of injury that I had. It would have been amazing to have had this.”
